• 1968....Learned to ski

• 1972....Skied in my 1st tournament ever, (a novice event)on Lake Sammamish,WA. I had never even seen a slalom course. I ended up with a trophy, and was hooked on water skiing. That same summer, I attended the Western Regionals, AND U.S. Nationals, both within 30 miles of where I lived. I met Mike Suyderhoud, the 1971 and 1973 World Overall Champion, who ran an International Water Ski School and training camp on Shasta Lake, CA
• 1973 Attended Suyderhoud's Training Camp for 2 weeks. See Instructional clinics. I focused the entire season on learning how to ski properly based on his instruction. On Labor Day Weekend, on a public river, in Richland, WA (rough water), I qualified for the 1974 Nationals in boys's slalom, making 30,32,34,36,15 off, 22 off, and 3.5 at 28 off.

• 1974 Worked for Mike Suyderhoud as an instructor, and in August, placed 8th in boys slalom @ The National Championships. A week later, set the Pacific NW boys slalom record, which stood for 6 years

• 1975....Began long-running novice tournament series on Lake Stevens, WA
• 1976....Full time instructor @ Mike Suyderhoud's, skied in weekly ski shows, and competed in all 3 events at tournaments.
• 1977....Married Vesta Evans April 23, 1977.....Opened ski school on Lake Stevens, WA Placed 11th @ U.S. Nationals.
• 1978-79....13th @ U.S. Nationals

• 1980....First Pro tournament, The California International Cup. (4@35 off)

11th @ Nationals, 2nd in Regionals, and ranked 2nd in the Western Regional guide. Ranked 39th in the World in Men's Slalom

• 1981....8th @ Nationals
• 1982-86....Developed the first telescoping portable slalom course. As part of the Jobe Ski team, I built ALL the trick and jump skis for Jobe Skis for 2 years.

1986-2008..... Built tens of thousands of Quality Ropes and Handles for Connelly and Masterline.

2018:
